Program Overview

Birmingham Legion FC announced the formation of the Legion FC D-League, a developmental youth soccer league for boys and girls. The league joins boys and girls teams playing in U9, U10, U11, and U12 divisions from local youth clubs, and matches will take place in Spring and Fall. Individual development is prioritized over team progress and success is measured through individual execution of trained skills & concepts. There are no fixed rosters instead, a pool system is utilized for easy roster movement and to reward player improvement.

Program Cost: $250

This program is not for everyone. This program is ONLY geared towards those players looking to further develop their soccer skills and abilities. This is a competitive developmental program geared towards players on our developmental pathway.

Games/Training

• 2 training sessions per week
• 1 optional individual skill training session per week
• Training is 1.5 hours long

Frequently Asked Questions

What does my child need to bring? All Academy players will need a size 4 soccer ball, water bottle, shin guards, and tennis shoes or soccer cleats.

Are uniforms provided? We have established a relationship with Soccer.com for uniform ordering. Once your player's acceptance into the D-League is confirmed, a uniform ordering link will be sent out.

Does every participant receive a trophy? Yes! We do this because our focus is on player development. That trophy doesn't symbolize a winning season for the team, but an individual accomplishment for the player.
